The Beetle
"The Beetle" was a small AEC railmotor that ran between Fawkner and Somerton in suburban Melbourne up until the 1950's. Some historical scenes were recreated from old photos on the tramway, as well as the Beetle itself to film some footage for Martin Bennet's Upfield line video. Here we have a look at some of those scenes and the process for creating them.

I have zero idea how I got here. But as a mechanic of almost 20 years. I hope you are wear safety glasses around this. That head coming free made me pucker. I can't tell you how many times safety glasses have saved my eyes.
Yes PPE is important! Remember the camera is not in the same position as the operator though, it can be much closer to a potentially hazardous zone.

There's a few suppliers of this kind of stuff, argyleloco.com.au/ is one. Most of what you see here is home made though.
